'Kaalkoot' i.e. poison is a story crafted on the corrupt system, acid victim and the unique love of mother and son!
Ravi Shankar Tripathi (Vijay Verma) fails in UPSC preparation, in such a situation, he takes the exam of Uttar Pradesh Inspector and becomes a Inspector.
